Course Description
Programmatic aspects of creating computer-generated imagery in the areas of feature film, special effects, gaming, and simulation.  Topics include procedural modeling, animation, shading, and visual effects using Pixar's RenderMan software and Alias Maya’s MEL and API.  Provides hands-on, job preparatory skills in computer generated imagery for feature film, video, and commercial production.   This course is one in a series that leads to a certificate in 3D software development from Parkland College.  After successful completion in CSC 231, 232, and 233, a student receives 3D software development certification from Parkland College.  Prerequisites: CSC 123, CSC 128.
