VMware Academic Program

The Business/Computer Science & Technologies department at Parkland College is a member of the VMware Academic Program (VMAP) offered by VMware to provide teaching institutions with software for both teaching and research. The VMAP guidelines allow us to offer a variety of VMware programs at no cost for students and faculty use at home.

Faculty AND students may checkout the software and install it on their personal machines as long as the following rules as followed:

Student accounts can be requested from the first day of classes for the semester until the last day of regularly scheduled classes. ALL student accounts are deactivated on the last day of regularly scheduled classes. Students must then request an account for any future semesters that they are an eligible BCST student. If you have any questions about the VMware Academic Program you can send an email to the Application Suport Team.

Students: If you meet the qualifications listed above and would like access to the VMAP website to download software, please request an account by sending an email to the Application Support Team.

NO TECHNICAL SUPPORT will be provided by Parkland College Campus Technologies, Tech Helpdesk or any other technical support staff for this software. This software is provided for the convenience of the students. Installing any software will be done at your own risk. We recommend that you make an up-to-date backup of your hard disk before downloading & installing the software. Parkland College cannot accept responsibility for any disruption, damage and/or loss of data on your personal computer system that may occur while using the software.
