The Computer Technology Center (CTC) is designed to provide students of all abilities, ages, and needs with convenient computer software instructions. Classes are offered as open-entry/open-exit. This is a non-traditional delivery method which allows students to enroll in a course past the registration deadline for regular classes.
Students may choose to take courses in an open classroom, online, or both. The open classroom is not a traditional classroom. It is a computer lab with an instructor available to help students get started, answer questions and give guidance as students work through assignments using books, tutorials and written project instructions. There are no lectures. Attendance is encouraged, but not required. Students set up their own schedule and may attend the classroom or work online whichever is convenient for them. Regardless of the format, all CTC students enrolled in Computer Basics or Microsoft Office courses are welcome to come to D228 during our regular classroom hours for help as needed. Students enrolled in Internet Basics or Web Design courses have open classroom hours in D207 or D208 (announced at the beginning of each semester.)
Students interested in taking CTC courses should stop by the CTC in D228 for more information or call or email the contact person listed below. Click here for an informative video with Tammy Kesler, CTC Program Director.
